Windsurfing, kite flying, water skiing, diving, sailing and other holiday-activities on the Costa Blanca. Near the Gran Alacant are two yacht clubs, that rent out equipment for water sports. You can rent a sailboat, taking lessons with an instructor and more
You can "para glide" in Gran Alacant and Alicante. A 20-minute ride in tandem costs about 60 Euros.
Fishing
Fishing is a strong tradition in Santa Pola and a lot of fish coming to the Costa Blanca from the Atlantic.
The local fishermen´s best locations are just blocks from the Santa Pola and Gran Alacant. Where fishing is allowed year round from pebble beaches.
In Santa Pola you can fish from the piers out of season if no one is bathing there.
Shopping and Markets
Elche:
A paradise for those who like shoe-shopping is to visit the city of Elche, which is not only the city of palm trees, but also the "mecca" of shoes
On the outskirts of Elche about 10 km from Alicante is the main shopping streets (shoe factories) concentrated in an area around, Arenida Maisonnare, Calle Mayer and Avenida Alfonso El Sabio. There you can shop the latest news for half price, everything from shoes, bags and jackets but most of all shoes.

You are spoilt for choice with the fine cuisine and restaurants of Quesada. With some restaurants winning Five Star awards, it´s no wonder that the locals choose to spend the warm evenings dining with their families in the resort. The restaurants liven up later in the evening, hosting vibrant, local entertainment. There are also a number of bars in the area which provide good quality, nightly entertainment for adults and children.

El Muelle overlooks the promenade in Torrevieja which runs parallel to the sea.
Booking is possible inside the restaurant, but if you want to eat outdoors, you can expect to wait an hour during peak periods.
The menu is Spanish, but also has a range out of Italian and European dishes.

Manolo:
If you want a real Spanish lunch, visit the Manolo, the center of the lemon tree road. Along the road you will find this small, simple restaurant. Here are many regulars and it shows that everyone knows each other. Worth a visit.
Happy garden:
Before you run out of Quesada is a restaurant called Happy Garden. Here you can enjoy a delicious Asian dinner with plenty of food for a small fee.

There are four world-class golf clubs all within 30 minute drive of the house - Villamartin being the closest at only 5 minutes.

Days out
There are a number of historic cities within an hour´s drive of Quesada - Murcia, Cartagena, Orihuela, Elche and Alicante. Also La Manga and the Mar Menor are well worth a visit.
Tennis
There are several courts in the Quesada area and some of the clubs has bars, restaurants, pools and Boule. Qualified tennis coaching is also available.
Horse Riding
Take a ride in the spanish countryside, within a 5 minute car ride is The Ranch at Campoamor. There is also Club Hipco near Villamartin,
El Rancho at Los Montesinos and El Refugio Guardamar.
Supermarkets
There are a couple of mini-supermarkets just outside the house, including a 24hr one; they stock everything you could possibly need for your holiday. There are also several major shops and well known supermarkets all within the local area.
Beaches
There are many beaches to choose from. The Orihuela Costa has a massive 16km of coastline with coves of transparent waters and fine sand. With prestigious beaches such as Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, Dehesa de Campoamor and Mil Palmeras, this area´s beaches are awarded the Blue Flag year after year. La mata and Cabo cervera are also very popular.

Safari Parks
Rio Safari Elche - Enjoy nature between 4000 Palm Trees and take a ride on the mini train. Enjoy the aquaterrarium, aviary, crocodile land and all the different animal exhibitions. In summer you can splash in the swimming pool, visit the ice-cream parlour, picnic zone and have a go at karting.
